Delphine Wibaux
Born in 1991, lives and works in Marseille.
A 2014 graduate from the École Supérieure d’Arts et de Design Marseille-Méditerranée (ESADMM), Delphine Wibaux uses different media (images, sculpture, installation, writing and experimental work with sound) to fine-tune what she calls captations (recordings). Her sampling work, mostly carried out in the wild, is symptomatic of a will to extract invisible or inaudible elements through a process that combines scientific experiment and a poetic approach to phenomenology. The detailed transfer of an image or sound recorded in the landscape on constantly deteriorating surfaces appears as a means to establish a fragile connection between astral infinity and the most modest earthly resources.
