Christophe Lemaitre will take up his secondary residency at the Parc Saint Léger from March to June 2010.
His work focuses on the history of forms via various practices: sculpture, painting, and digital images, computers, language games…
He willingly resorts to text and language to explore the production of meaning and critical interpretations of art. Very often, his works develop concepts that question the composition of the image, its conservation or storage. By playing on withdrawal and ellipsis, he transforms the meaning of the image and invites us to make new potential interpretations. The relationship to time is dealt within the recent works through work on the video image and telerecording.
