As part of her residence of three months (March-June 2008), at the Parc Saint Léger, the artist Elsa Tomkowiak was invited to step in the college Adam Billaut with the help of some students in art class of the teacher Pierre-Luc Darnaud.
Elsa Tomkowiak realizes some installations related to the architecture she meets. Using raw materials that she rips and she coats of colored paint (cardboard, plastic sheeting, polystirènes, etc..), The work of Elsa Tomkowiak expresses a lot about the energy of color by the invasion of space.
For the college Adam Billaut , her wish was to come out the gallery space of the college to invest the public areas, hallways, reading room and school life. As a huge backbone carousing the architecture on two floors, the installation confronted students to a visualization exercise of areas through connections of colors and shapes.
