Clara Gallet offers a group of schoolchildren an exploration of their city through the construction of observation and living spaces – the zonoirs. A way of revisiting the term with a negative connotation ‘zoner’ to make it an activity of knowledge and development of the gaze. Children will be invited to imagine zonoirs in dialogue with their environment and ensure the entire construction chain. Accompanied and stimulated by the artist, they will choose the locations, the drawings and models and finally the realization. A public presentation in partnership with the town hall, the Loire and Nohain media library and the Suzanne Coulomb socio-cultural center will close the project. Clara Gallet (1991, lives and works in Tours) is a graduate of ARBA-ESA, higher school of fine arts in Brussels (2013). She practices several mediums (drawing, photography, outdoor constructions, installations…) allowing her to question our contemporary landscapes. The Zonoirs workshop has already been conducted as part of the Creation in Progress system (Ateliers Médicis). The workshop is part of the educational project of a ULIS class teacher (10 students, of various ages and with disabilities) from Claude Tillier College (Cosnes / Loire). It takes place over thirty hours.
