From 26 to 31 January, the art centre will be transformed into an experimental laboratory for the students of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Dijon (ENSA) and those of the Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Appliqués de Bourgogne in Nevers (ESAAB). In association with the public commission of Lawrence Weiner for the Abbaye de Corbigny initiated by the Ministère de la Culture, the students will work on the reactivation of the Public Freehold Collection. This collection consists of artworks in the form of statements that the artist makes available to the public so that they are materially interpreted or freely imagined. This workshop is coordinated by Ghislain Mollet-Viéville, a well-known specialist in conceptual art, along with Renaud Huberlant, graphic designer and teacher at the Ecole de Recherche Graphique de Bruxelles (ERG). It will provide the opportunity for an encounter between two disciplines, fine arts and applied arts, in a context related to the key arts news of the Nièvre territory.
